Our audience kept commenting on the music and sound for our production. So we made a studio album.

Ropes triggered a shipwreck; scales were weighed in the ButtonMan room; and the community saw a fraction of the costumes and conceptual artwork that went into the show.

This Sunday, April 7, 3-5, we’ll be celebrating the opening of “The Art of Peer Gynt” at the Eloise Pickard Smith Gallery, at Cowell College, UC Santa Cruz. There will be wine, nibbles, interactive media, and even live performances!
And yeah, it’s free.

The production is now closed, and we move on to our gallery exhibition. Huge thanks to everyone for making our show such a tremendous success. Since the whole run sold out by opening night, we understand not everyone who wanted to see it could get a ticket, but we are beyond grateful for the enthusiasm and support of the community.

The show is sold out, BUT there are several seats on reserve each day. Call the box office at noon the day you want to go and grab those tickets.

The SF Symphony is putting on selections from “Peer Gynt” January 17, 18, 19, including music by Grieg and staged scenes from the play!
The talented James Darrah directs, with Michael Tilson Thomas at the helm of the music. Even better, our dear friend Jessie Merlin is appearing as the Troll King!

An excellent essay on Peer Gynt’s character, full of contradictions and energy. Written by the leading Ibsen expert in Norway, the inimitable Vigdis Ystad.
A review of the production we saw in Norway (reviewed by Benedikte Berntzen). The production takes place on a mountain lake every year in the Gudbrands Valley, where the historical Peer Gynt lived.
